CarTake's Digital Room is the virtual showroom every vehicle is placed in after background removal: same floor, same light, same logo on every listing. The car is shot on the lot; the customer sees it in a clean, recognizable environment. Dedicated rooms for dealership, brand, certified pre-owned program, or campaign.

The photo is taken in a real setting with people, signs, and variable light. The Digital Room moves it to a controlled, recognizable environment ready for website and portals.

A virtual showroom is a digital environment in which the vehicle, once isolated from its original background, is repositioned with consistent perspective, shadows, and lighting. It's not a flat backdrop: floor, walls, light, and logo are designed to make the car look like it was photographed in one exhibition space.
In CarTake this environment is called Digital Room. It's applied automatically to every processed photo, so the result doesn't depend on the phone, the operator, or the weather on shooting day.
On listing portals and the dealership website, a customer scrolls dozens of listings in seconds. Stock with different backgrounds and inconsistent light signals disorder; stock photographed 'in the same showroom' signals care and brand recognition.
Branded backgrounds are studied internationally too: the Shift 2025 figure of +5% associated with branded backgrounds is a market signal, not a CarTake result. The verifiable in-house advantage is simpler: every published car meets the same standard.
The same dealership can have several environments: a standard one with the dealer logo for multi-brand used cars; one for the manufacturer's certified pre-owned program, following brand guidelines; one per location for groups; one for a seasonal campaign, coordinated with creatives built in CarTake Studio.
The flow starts with guided capture in the CarTake Photo app, ensuring consistent angles across vehicles. AI trained on automotive imagery separates the car from the background while preserving glass, wheels, chrome, and reflections; the vehicle is then placed in the Digital Room with shadows and perspective computed for the chosen environment. The step takes 30–60 seconds per image.
The Digital Room works with everything CarTake's AI recognizes: cars, motorcycles, vans, and trucks. A commercial vehicle dealer or a motorcycle dealer gets the same consistent environment, with proportions and shadows adapted to the vehicle.

A physical studio guarantees consistency but requires space, vehicle moves, and time per car; with rotating stock it often gets skipped. A generic background remover strips the background but leaves the car on a flat surface with no shadows or environment, and struggles with glass and reflections.
The virtual showroom combines both advantages: studio consistency and lot-shooting speed. To evaluate it, look at details on a sample of your own stock: wheel-floor contact, glass transparency, body reflections, logo legibility.
Customization, brand, portals, and quality: what dealers ask about the virtual showroom.
Yes. The standard environment is customized with the dealership's logo and identity. Dedicated environments per brand, location, or certified pre-owned program are built during setup.
Yes. The Digital Room is assigned per vehicle or by rule: for example the OEM environment for certified program cars and the dealer's for the rest of the used stock, with no physical sets.
AI handles reflections, shadows, and variable light during cut-out, and placement computes shadow and perspective for the chosen environment. The best way to judge is a test on a sample of your stock, which we do in the demo.
Processed images are standard web-optimized files delivered to the integrated multipublishers, SmilePhotoWeb, Infinity Publisher, and WEICOLA, which distribute them to website and portals like any other listing photo.
Background removal isolates the vehicle; the Digital Room is the environment it's placed in, with floor, light, shadows, and logo. The background remover page covers the technical side; this page describes the virtual showroom.
